Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We spoke to him about his role in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) team and the methods which he makes a difference at Realtor.com. Here's what he stated: Q. Tell us about your team. A. We own nine backend search services that are core to the business's success. Among the most important is the Search API, which powers results on the Search engine result page. Our tech stack consists of Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We also work carefully with the Machine Learning group to bring AI-driven functions to the customer experience, such as search relevancy improvements and AI-powered search. We're a collective, friendly team that prioritizes strong onboarding and constant support. New staff member are directed through the ramp-up process up until they're confident taking full ownership of their work. Each employee is helpful to other team members when dealing with difficulties. We value a culture where wins are popular freely, and obstacles are owned together. We also make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person parties, to keep camaraderie strong. Q. What's your greatest achievement up until now at Realtor.com? A. I'm most pleased with the professional development I've accomplished given that joining Realtor.com as a Software Application Engineer over 7.5 years ago. Throughout this journey, I've established deep domain expertise, stayed up-to-date with progressing industry practices, and regularly worked with modern-day technologies. My dedication to continuous learning and impact caused my promo to Staff Software Engineer and my function as one of the group's technical leads. Most recently, I've handled the duty of being the People Leader for the team-an exciting next step that allows me to support others in their development while continuing to drive technical instructions. I take pride in the truth that my long tenure here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to evolve technically and handle higher leadership Q. What should somebody aiming to join us in #Tech know? A. Realtor.com provides interesting technical obstacles, from large-scale data dealing with to real-time search, customization, and AI/ML combination.
